2022 Model S: 20” momo staggered wheels and safe tire sizes (to avoid rubbing)

i purchased the Momo barletta staggered set with sizes/offsets here. Will be powder coating satin bronze for my black MS LR:
Front: 20x9.0, bolt pattern 5x120, offset +35
Rear: 20x10.5, bolt pattern 5x120, offset +40

Still hunting for the correct Michelin psas4 tire sizes and have been searching throughout past forums however uncertain if older Ms models make a difference. Anyways, I learned from some other users here that the following tire sizes would fit:

245/40R20 front
275/35R20 rear (possibly 275/40R20???)

Thoughts? Feedback? Experience with similar sizes?

Thank you tesla fam

I run 245/40 front and 275/35 rear as you stated. That’s the combo closest to stock. 265 in front will rub.
I assume you have a pre-2021+? I ran 255/35 22 in the front of my 2013 P85 and 2020 Long Range+ with no rubbing, but that's about as wide as you can go.

The OP is asking about the new Palladium platform (2021/2022) which can easily run 265 up front and up to 335 in the rear.

Appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately my SA wasn’t much help here. I’d love to have a wider tire but also thicker sidewall. Is there any issue in getting an aspect ratio of 40 versus 35? I’m sending over the tires to a shop via tirerack.com. If anyone happens to have cheaper options for the Michelin PS4, please let me know.

I used this thread as reference when buying my wheels, so I’ll add my results.

2016.5 90D

Non-air ride suspension, with H&R lowering springs.

MOMO Barletta
Front: 20x9.0, bolt pattern 5x120, offset +35
Rear: 20x10.5, bolt pattern 5x120, offset +40

Tires (Continental Extreme Contact DWS)
Front: 265/35/20
Rear: 295/30/20

I’m as wide as I can go in the rear without rubbing, although on some hard angles in roadway the tires will rub. But this is at low speed as you’d be launching the car if you were at these angles at speed.

Rear is flush with the fender which is what I wanted, didn’t like how narrow the 21” turbines were that sat so far inside the wheel well.

Front sits a little inside, but it’s tolerable.
