2022 Model S - DRL’s?

Question for you guys. I have recently taken delivery of a 2022 model S and i see Tesla’s driving by with their DRL’s on (the halo) without the headlight lamp actually on.

My DRL’s do not turn on unless the lights are set to on and the headlights are on as well.

Basically if they are set to auto ; the nice looking wing headlight portion doesn’t turn on unless I go into a garage.

Is this normal?

I just saw a model x brand new and the DRL’s were on without the headlights being on..where is the option?

If you select Range Mode, the DRL are turned off.

I don’t think range mode exists on the 2022’s ?

Turn on Range Mode (touch Controls >
Driving > Range Mode). Range Mode
automatically limits the amount of power
that the climate control system uses to
maintain the temperature the cabin area
and limits the amount of energy being
used to heat or cool the Battery. In
addition, Range Mode turns off signature
lights (only in market regions where
daytime running lights are not required).

Range mode is not an option on 2021+.
