This thread intends to capture build quality observations of all NF Plaids, from November 2021 - November 2022. We are trying to determine, through discussion, how NF (2022) build quality compares to MF (2021) build quality - to see what progress/improvements Tesla may have made over time. If you used the linked checklist (which was created and edited throughout the MF (2021) sequence), for your NF (2022) delivery inspection, we want to know what issues still remain on the NF (2022) builds, what issues seem to have been resolved in production, and what new issues not on this list have emerged.

In short, has over build quality improved, declined or stayed about the same. Empirical data sought (Not opinions and speculation). Let the discussion begin!

NF build quality is mediocre. Panels are still not aligned properly. Silicone caulking is used on some body panels where fitment wasn't great. Seats have wrinkles. Pain finish is awful with several paint bubbles and scratches.

Swirl marks, paint defect under the clear coat, scuff, wrinkles in the back, and a rattle/squeak between the left dash speaker and the dash.

Seems like we need to keep this thread going....

FWIW, I have a minor worm in my '15 wheel center and some distortion at the bottom of the front windshield.
Okay, I will hold off having it deleted, if more folks report in relative to the wiki issues list linked in post #1. Otherwise, I will have it deleted for “lack of interest” in the next week or so.

@SoCalDude Thank you. How is the rear glass, near the bottom where it meets the hatch? Does your driver's side mirror shake at speed? 38-50mph vibration? What about the other defects reported in the post #1 wiki thread?
Rear window still has some distortion, but not as bad as shown in the video. Driver‘s side mirror is perfect at all speeds. Zero vibration between 38-50mph, but there is a soft motor whistle from the front at those speeds.

For what it's worth, I have noticed no flaws whatsoever in my 2022 Tesla Model S. I haven't gone looking for flaws. But I did look at the paint when I received the car and saw no blemishes.
