So the finance company didn't title it when you got the loan? I would think they'd get the MSO and title it. If not that you'd have to get the title and turn it in to them. Is the title pending? Or that process hasn't started yet?

I forgot that tesla didn't have a way to sell in Texas.
The send a certificate of origin, you got to take it to your dmv to register/pay taxes. Then they will title the vehicle and send it to the lien holder. I don’t know if you can buy if that hasn’t happened. Maybe you can, I don’t know

I would think the lien holder would want the title at some point. I'm not sure how taxes would work if it has never been titled. If I hasn't been and you get the MSO, title it, then are you technically the first owner?
