2023 model Y FSD - subscription vs active

Hello everyone,

I am looking at a 2023 model Y long range from a dealer and I noticed that it said full self driving activated.

Does that mean it is activated and no subscription require? How would I check?

This is one of the main reasons I am buying it from this dealer.

If I’m the software settings screen it says “Full Self Driving Capability” and “Included Package” underneath that, then it has the fully paid FSD.

If it has an expiration date instead of “Included package” then it’s subscription.

If it says “Autopilot” or “Enhanced Autopilot” then it doesn’t have FSD.

Be aware that if it says “Autopilot Computer: Full self-driving computer”, it just means it has HW3.0 and doesn’t NOT necessarily mean it has FSD. Many third party dealers see that and think it has FSD and list the car as such.

You can go to the car's screen and click the tab "software" menu.

If it is paid up already, It should list:

Full Self-Driving Capability:
Included package.

If it's subscribed:
Full Self-Driving Capability:
Auto renewal 3/1/2023

That doesn't tell whether the Capability was paid or not.

If it helps any, you don't get much for FSD when you sell or trade to a dealership. Therefore, you shouldn't expect to pay much when you buy.
