I have a 2023 Y without sensors. If I purchase EAP will Smart Summon work? How about auto park?

Tesla says temporarily not now.

I guess that kind of practice works for selling FSD since 2016 so it is repeated in advertising for cars without USS.

Confirmed with Tesla that auto park and summon will not work without sensors at this time. Tesla is also aware that they are selling features that are not available and no timeline in sight. Very misleading and borderline criminal as far as I'm concerned. False advertising. Tesla scam.

Sorry. No dates but when it arrives, it will be a big one. It will enable the summon function again for those with FSD.

Absolutely do NOT buy a Y now. IMHO they will have to put hardware back in as the camera system has way too many physical flaws (can’t see extremities of car, gets blocked/blinded by just about everything, very poor resolution cameras especially at night) that can’t be overcome by software.

When I back out or pull into a tight spot I do see some distance measurements displayed. Does this mean that auto vision is functioning and that auto park and summons features will work? 2023 MY, no sensors.

Interesting. It’s not in the release notes and lots of people have that version, so I’m surprised we haven’t heard about before. I just updated to 23.2.10 and will check it out when I head out today.

I only get distance when in a tight spot and moving very slowly.
