2023 upgrade to a bigger rear screen?

Does the new 2023 has]ve a much bigger screen? Many way for us with the 2023 to upgrade? I personally have 3 little kids and they alway are using the rear screen to watch Netflix cartoon pretty much 100% of the time. A bigger would be a great up grade.

I'd imagine someone could make one...design a piece that includes a cable extension, accepts the same I/O and the mount installs where the current screen is and places it up higher above the air vents or something. Might be tricky to avoid the front seats hitting it though.

Kim Java on YT reported that S/X can be upgraded to new bigger rear screen for $600 which wouldn’t be outrageous imo. Anyone else who can verify this?

The upgrade process looks really simple, if you could get a hold of the screen you could basically DIY it. It sits in the exact same enclosure and it is one plug.

Service center isn’t going to fix a part that isn’t broken. But you might be able to order the part from Tesla.

The larger screen would be the new part going into cars, so most likely this would be the replacement for old type screens if they were to break. In parts catalog it says they are for sale “over the counter”

Not sure in terms of inches. But it basically removes the whole black frame around the screen and it goes out to the edges, so I would guess at least 1-2" bigger

No need to crack it. Sell it OEM aftermarket. somebody needs it for sure

I was looking to remove the rear screen. I do not believe watching screens while driving is healthy. Anyone that makes a cover for it that looks OEM?

Why not just cover it? Or just tell your kids they can't watch stuff on there and only use it for HVAC controls?
