20mm wheel spacers for 2022 Model 3 Performance with uberturbines

Hello all! I’m a newcomer who has recently acquired a 2022 Model 3 Performance esrlier this year and the mod itch is in full effect.

Is anyone out there currently running 20mm spacers all around with the stock 2022 20inch uberturbines? I’m trying to decide on fitment and will be lowering the car on Unplugged coilovers soon. I plan to run with the stock wheels for a bit because I like them. I’ve read numerous threads about issues with the 15mm spacer up front (originally I was planning 15mm front and 20mm for the rear) due to fitment issues with the shallow pockets on the back of the wheel and I don’t want to shave down studs. If you’re currently running something similar to this set up (stock height or dropped) please chime in, preferably with photos. The goal is to get as flush with the stock fenders as possible, although I don’t mind minimal poke. Thanks in advance!

You should be fine with 20mm spacers up front if you don’t mind the wheels sticking a bit beyond flush, especially if you are keeping the narrow 235/35r20 tires.

If you are willing to get adjustable camber arms you can further pull the tops of the wheels and tires in, if needed.

This is with 16mm front and 20mm rear spacers, but with 255/35R20s, and before I started messing with camber.

Thanks for the reply! Your set-up looks clean bro. I decided to go with 18mm up front and 20mm in the rear after speaking with BONOSS rep and unplugged. I’ll be dropping the car on their coilovers and throwing on rear camber arms for now. I also switched up my tires to michelin sport A/S 4’s at 245/35 square. What year is your M3P?

I think that will work nicely! Mine is a 2022, picked up in May.

Please post pics of your setup when complete. I am in similar position and looking at spacers and MPP coilovers. I was going to go 14mm all around but the pics posted earlier in thread look good. 2022 M3P with 20” uberturbines has been hard to understand best spacers that safetly fit and look good due to change with past 20” wheels and that extra lip on the brake rotor.

Any update on the 18mm and 20mm fit? pics?

I checked the BONOSS website and only see 15mm front and 20mm rear and it mentions may have to shorten wheel stud for the 15mm. What was your experience and solution?

I can’t remember my camber settings but they were conservative. So far on this set up I have driven 18000 miles without rotating tires and (car has 24k miles now) and oem tires still show a lot of life left. I think rears are pretty similar to front. A little sunken but not bad hard to tell.

What are your camber settings?

Do you find the rear wheels more sunken in, relative to the front ones?

I guess you could always do 14mm front and 20mm rear....

I need to try the 14mm ones myself... then i'll decide if i go 5mm front 14mm rear or maybe 14mm front and 20mm rear although i think this might be too aggressive...

seems like the rear stock are quite a bit further in than the front..... so to me you need a bigger spacer in the rear than the front

I currently have -1.4 camber and 14mm spacers front and rear. The front looks perfectly flush, but the rear looks to be about 5mm sunken in. I'm contemplating either:

1. switch to 20mm in the rear (the rear will probably end up poking out more than the front)
2. drop camber to -1.2 or -1.1 in the rear

I think either choice will induce more understeer... Can't decide yet.

I see....

I do understand that they would technically induce understeer, but not quite sure which of the options would induce more/less understeer... or if you would even be able to tell the difference in understeer at all......
