21” Uberturbine rim color

Are there any rim protectors that can fit those wheels? It’s just a matter of time before I scratch them

I used this touch up for my Model S Sonic Carbon rims. It’s not an exact match (much shinier) but it’s close enough to me, for now.

As much money that was spent on your Model Y, and you're not going to repair the curb rash correctly? Most shops that repair rims can do it the repair for $150 to $225 and the rim looks as good as new!

Fixing the rash on a rim isn't a one time deal, it's an ongoing task. $150-$225 per repair, per rim can quickly add up. Regardless of how much was spent on the Tesla, it would be preferable by most people to have a $30 solution if it yielded acceptable results, regardless of the type of vehicle they drove.

If you drove a set of 21", you'll know how difficult they are to keep rash free. The rims stick out about as much as the rubber, so if you even think about getting close to anything (curb, pothole, rock, etc), it'll put a chip, scrape, or scratch on them.

Wheels on Site now carries the correct color and did a fenomenal job at fixing my curb rash.

Did you sand at all? I took a small chunk from my front wheel? Not happy. Not sure if I would need to fill anything or sand.

Don’t curb your rims.. It’s all on you as the driver. You can always replace the tire with a wider tire with more sidewall, but you’ll sacrifice range to do so.

Has anyone priced out a single rim? My wife curbed the heck out of my passenger front. She felt horrible and I just gave her a hug. A couple of weeks ago, I tried to get a quote from Tesla for Gemini rims to make up a winter set but couldn't ever get anywhere. I imagine getting a single uberturbine will be frustrating as well.

For the 4 set look in eBay. Cheap sets are appearing. Same for the Ubers. As for fixing. I use wheelsonsite.com. They have fixed all 4 wheels for me. I scratched 2, wife 2. So we're 50/50. Just bought a set of 4 Gemini wheels on eBay for my long trips.

I have never curbed our Model X rims however. The Model Y drives smaller and is so easy to curb a wheel.

I just picked up some Testors enamel from Michael’s, and it looks to be a damn close match. Color name is Metallic Graphite.
I’ll post some before and after pics I’m a couple days.
