A friend just got her X on Saturday and noticed that the funding is exhausted for the California EV tax rebate of $2500 for applications after June 10th, 2016.

Does anyone know if there will be additional funding?

Not the first time it's happened. They've always gotten more funding in the past.

Probably not until the new fiscal year starts on October 1. The California Air Resources Board will hold a meeting on June 23rd regarding funding for the coming fiscal year.

I take back my "probaby not until the new fiscal year" - the plan under proposal includes $55 million to fund the balance of demand for the current fiscal year.

Quite possibly not ever for a Tesla. Liberal legislators are proposing limiting rebates to cars priced under $40K.

Also keep in mind there are now income limits: Income Eligibility and a limit on the # of rebates per entity: Eligibility guidelines.
