285s all around- good or bad?

I had a front tire blow out and they had to replace both front tires. Never really checked the tires (its been about 2 months) but noticed they put on 285s instead of 255s on my Model Y Performance. I really haven't noticed any significant difference in driving dynamics. Any harm keeping these on or should I have them replaced?

I ran 285 square on my lowered Model Y Performance on an aftermarket wheelset with no rubbing. I now run 295 PS4S square and still dont rub. I think you can go as big as 305 without issue. As others have mentioned, the only downside is decreased range.

Sorry for the delay. 285's front and rear. I have Mountain Pass Coilovers with the car lowered approx. 10mm. Also have 20mm spacers. No rubbing nor any issues so far.

They are 20" x 9.5" wheels from Velgen, I believe with a +32 offset.

40 profile would only be recommended on a 19 inch wheelset. I don't see why it wouldn't work though.

Have you taken pics are noted the clearance on the front arms/knuckle?

Yours is the first 295 in the front I've read of, though I haven't been actively looking in a year so I dunno if its more common now or not. But anyways yea, 295 in front is FAT man!
