3 Rock Chips in Two Months

Is there something special about the M3 windshield glass? I just picked up my third rock chip in two months of ownership. I’ve never had rock chip issues in any other car I’ve driven.

got a rockchip within the first 1000km of owning the model 3 from an oncoming roadtrain. don't drive if you dont want to get one. cover it with a rockchip sticker (or gaffa tape, film, whatever you have) and get it fixed.

Like I said, I’ve never gotten a rock chip in any other car I’ve driven but somehow have gotten three in this car.

I also never got a rockchip in my old car and got one a day before I switched to the Tesla lol

Yeah I wondered too if the glass was special. Mine lasted 2 weeks before getting its first windscreen chip.

I have now surpassed 7300 miles in my 2020 since November 1, 2019. The windshield has tons of tiny chips. I've owned 20+ cars and I can definitely say Tesla glass is more susceptible to glass damage than other makes I've owned. (Porsche, Nissan, BMW, Bentley, Benz)

Thank god for full frontal PPF and rocker protection. PPF already has battle scars from road debris.
