Sorry for the dumb question, just something I never bothered to ask. Are there any conversion factors involved in calculating the total size of the PV system? Or do you just add up all the panels and their capacities?
True... but what most people want is wh. You get ~15% fewer wh/yr if those watts face East instead of South. So Location and Orientation are big factors that determine production.
Yep... simple math. Just add up the watts. This is the labelled peak for your system. However, your actual peak production (W) and your daily/yearly Wh will vary with a lots of things such as clouds, snow, time of year, sun exposure etc.
How large are your inverters on each? That may limit you as well. Also, the published panel capability is based on a "flash" testing, not real world capability. But, I suppose the total will be more in line with other system quotes.
