If it is a hardware change, I wonder why it is not applicable to performance versions. Or are they upgrading only LR versions and keeping Plaid upgrade for performance ones. My MX LR was built around Christmas last year.. well within last few months duration:p Fingers crossed.

Wonder if the wireless charger is any indicator if you have the full 351 capability.

that’s my worry - I have a Jan manufacture and don’t have the wireless charger. Have spoken to the delivery team saying I am within the seven day period. They have promised to revert in a day, will keep everyone updated.

Could the earlier than usual change to a 2020 model year be an indicator of the date the hardware changed? Typically Tesla just uses the calendar year for the model year.

I just did a test build on a performance X with the 22 inch wheels and the range shows as 272mi. Maybe that was there before, but i don't remember seeing it. I will still take it as I love the look of the black on black and I also don't normally drive 200+ miles in a day so I can charge when I get home. 80 mile difference between the LR and P is pretty big though.

It was there before, only shows when you select the 22's. I didn't notice it either, but decided to keep the 22's anyway to see how it goes, they look really nice.

Ah I see it for Performance versin. But no stated range decrease for the LR version with 22 inch rims. That can’t be can it? Why just performance model and not LR I wonder.

Interesting find. Could just be an oversight on the ordering page. We all know by now that the wheels have a huge impact on range so there is no way it is getting 351.

I’m calling Tesla first thing tomorrow (they seem to be closed today). Supposed to take delivery of my X one week from today and want to know if I’m getting the 351 miles. I’ll reply back to this thread with what I get told.

OK I don't have anything in writing, but I talked to my Sales Advisor today and he assured me that I am indeed getting the "Long Range Plus" model with the 351 mile range, and that recent X's are that model, but had just been software locked to a lower range (all his words). He said he is going to send me a note explaining the same.

I hope it includes all the 2020's. I picked mine up on 12/20. Would have asked what did he mean by "recent"?

You do realize your service advisor saying you're getting something means absolutely zip. How many folks were promised this or that from an advisor and later say oops and cannot fix it. By the time you sort out it was false they are not even in the same job.

I hope you do get, and I think you will get it. But just giving a warning not to trust anyones "word" from Tesla.

What do you suggest be done? I’m in the same boat, delivery scheduled for the next couple weeks and advisor promised me I’d be getting LR Plus?

Wow dude, read what I wrote again. I literally mentioned twice about “in writing.” I won’t take delivery of the car unless I get in writing that I’m getting the 351 mile range. I know not to take anyone’s word for much these days, especially a car salesman.
