3D printed "thing" that came with Hansshow dashboard mounted touch screen display.

Hey guys,

This thing came with my Hansshow dashboard mounted touch screen. It is 3D printed and has holes in it. To be honest it looks like it is supposed to be an air diffuser to mitigate the air blockage caused by the screen location... but it was not mentioned in the instructions and is not in any of the online installation video's and is not mentioned on the Hansshow web page.

Any clues as to how this is supposed to be installed / used would be great!

I'm standing by my airflow redirection comment, seems like the only plausible use, but if anyone else has comments, I'm willing to listen

No idea what it is. Instructions have not been updated since the screen was a new item over a year ago.

I just received the same display but don’t have the extra piece. Perhaps it was inserted into packaging by mistake

Doesn't Hansshow have a phone number or email address? (and why are there two S's in Hansshow... seems like a waste of one "S"...)

I don’t think the piece is needed. None of the many install videos on YouTube feature it nor the instructions. Hansshow is very good about responding to electronic messaging and email btw.

Do any of you guys have issues with squeaking and rattling with your units? The newer one I got seems to be way more prone to making creaking noises as I'm driving and it's driving me crazy. I was thinking about using some wd40 or something in between the plastic bits to prevent rubbing.

I found a use for the unidentified item though! I had an itch in the center of my back, and there is was sitting on my desk... looks like Hansshow out of the goodness of their hearts sent us a back scratcher!

If I go over big bumps the unit wobbles a bit and can make some noises. I was going to look for something to put between dash and edge of hansshow unit.
