https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2018/03/09/could-3d-printed-parts-ensure-the-longevity-of-the-collector-car-hobby/ Seems like Porsche is taking a step to help people collecting their older models and keeping those cars on the road. I wish Tesla would release this type of info on the Roadster so we could just make our own parts!
While I agree that Tesla should release the shop and design manuals I was pleased to find out parts are not much of an issue. My car was involved in a minor collision (minor for the other car). Nothing structural but several cracked body parts. Tesla had the headlights, bumper, hood and a fender in stock. Since I has an order I also got new sill plates and wheel Center covers. Surprisingly a non issue and picked up all needed parts In about a week.
That's great you were able to find the parts, it's one of the things that get me nervous about owning one.
