The guys who did part of the wrapping on my car said black is the easiest color to wrap.

The mirrors are hydrodipped. I'm not sure exactly what was involved in the process but it looks much more like carbon fiber than the wrap does.

The rims are painted gloss black. I had the choice to powder coat them but the logistics involved were a bit more complex. The shop that did the wrap painted rims but did not do powder coating. So, I was able to get it all done at the same time.

Agree with LVGhost. My installer also said black is easier to wrap. That is, unless you are going with white or a really light wrap.

Thanks for the info. My rims are wrapped satin black but I'm considering dipping my wifes rims because it is so much cheaper to do.
