I know, this is totally a first-world problem, but I wish my in-app car pic was red instead of silver. Do any owners have their multi-coat red car display properly in the app?

When I emailed ownership at the end of july, this was the reply...

Thank you for contacting Tesla Motors. The incorrect color is currently displayed because Multi-Coat red is not yet available to view on the Mobile applications. We plans on implementing this color option in a future update to the app, but at this time all Multi-coat red cars are being shown as silver.

    Update

My wife & I both have IPhone 5's & 2 IPads all display Silver.

    (Another email just sent)

We have the new red and the display has matched since we picked it up almost 4 months ago. I'd contact Tesla again, maybe with your next service. At least if you are going to have any single problem this is likely the best!

Mine also matches (I have MC Red, and use the Android app).

You can always call .... get them to drop a note to engineering ...

I did this when my spoiler was MIA and it was added back within 6-8 hours.

Perhaps I just misread when I skimmed, but my impression from the posts thus far is that some are talking about in-car renderings and some are talking about the mobile app.

Red car. Silver in App. My wife's white is white in the IPhone App. I too got the same explanation from Tesla.... The IPhone App is still in "Beta" and was released before Red was offered. They tell me it will be fixed at some point in the future.

I figure if this is the biggest problem I have had across three cars then I am well ahead of the game :)

Same here--red car, silver in app. As lolachampcar says, no biggie.

I dont mind waiting for the fix in the next update, its just strange that some have this problem & others don't.

I just got a reply from todays inquiry,

Thank you for contacting Tesla Motors. The reason that Multi-Coat red does not display on the iPhone app, is due to the fact that, on release, Multi-Coat Red was not an available color for the Model S. Our software team is aware of the issue, and will be rectifying this in a future release of the app. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly at....

I never noticed the color before (had for 6 weeks) but mine is silver also.

I misread the initial post. In our car the main control screen is color matched red. On my iPhone the car is silver. If I hadn't just broken my femur I'd fret over this - nothing like a little perspective.

I called ownership when I got my multi-red car and was told that when they update the Iphone App, they will fix that. We are all of course waiting for an updated app that includes charge sliders too.

Now that iOS 7 has been released, Tesla has to move it on the update!

FWIW, the Tesla iPhone app works fine under iOS 7.

    So, in summary:

    iOS: Red = Silver
    Android: Red = Red
    ?

Well, mine is the right color, but the app shows 21" wheels while the car's own displays shows (correctly) the 19" wheels that I actually have. I don't really care.

My car color is correct but my wheels show 21 silver and they're 21 grey. First world problems indeed.
