REF: Tractor-trailer hauling brand new Teslas crashes on highway in Virginia

The was on Rt 81 near Lexington, Va. Car hauler deliver truck went airborn and destroyed all 4 NEW Teslas. The S on the front came off the hauler truck and smashed into the truck during the off-roading. Unfortunate for all owners expecting a new delivery this week, but especially bad for the one very patient P3 owner to be. :-( Bummer.

The driver of the truck said that the driver's side front-tire blowout caused the wreck.

The driver managed to keep the hauler from hitting other vehicles as the semi went off the highway and into mud.

There were no injuries, but the truck driver told CBS 17 that one of his dogs ran off into the highway and died after being hit by a vehicle following the crash.

Looks like three of them are fine. Still strapped in place.

Suspension and pack bottoms were damaged beyond repair according to the Service Advisor I spoke to. All 4 going to the heap. Apparently the truck went airborn and came down HARD at some point in the flat tire / dodging a dog stories. :-(

It was the truck driver's dog that died when it was hit by another vehicle after the initial accident.

So basically what you are saying is that the Tesla CPO inventory just went up by 4 vehicles?

With the small low resolution photos they take, no one would ever know there was an issue

maybe all that jittering on the transport might of realign the horribly misaligned panels we got on our cars that the service center can never seem to fix.
