definitely just a surface scratch to the paint/clear. I agree its a weird location. Light surface scratches were done by tesla service when i asked for a no wash during my service. . . . im sure they use a wheel cleaning brush and use excessive force and try to get your car done asap.
I noticed my oem 19" wheels started getting scratches in weird places also (deep in between spokes, where rocks wouldnt really go while driving). I called the service center out on it and they were just silent.
It's really annoying when the rest of the car is in new/pristine condition and they go scratching up your wheels. I stopped going to this service center.
I hope they've changed their processes or equipment for cleaning wheels by now
Thanks. Almost every inquiry is about shipping the wheels so far, which i've been lazy to do. If it comes to it in a few weeks ill start considering shipping, but looking for local pickup at the moment.
