Stop at a traffic light press the p button that should reset the drive. try it and thank me later40.4.1 has weight detection. It is not nearly as bad as 36.x, but it is still there.
36.x would kick me out with zero warnings.
40.4.1 gives one warning them kicks me out for the rest of the drive.

Correct, maybe I touch the wheel more even with the weight on?With a weight?
Won’t matter in just 6 more weeks. Elon promised that by 12/31/2022, we no longer will have to “touch the wheel” when using AP or FSD.Oof! I'm still getting mixed reviews from you guys. LOL.
What side of the steering wheel is your weight? I’ve noticed if my weight is on the right side it detects it, if I put it on the left side it doesn’t.36.x never kicked me out
Try putting it on your wrist and hold the wheel. Problem solved! What side of the steering wheel is your weight? I’ve noticed if my weight is on the right side it detects it, if I put it on the left side it doesn’t.
The left side is the only side mine fits on.What side of the steering wheel is your weight? I’ve noticed if my weight is on the right side it detects it, if I put it on the left side it doesn’t.
That may be why yours is working. My weight is designed for the right side and it detects it and shuts off FSD, just for shits and giggles I macgyvered mine with zip ties to the left side and it seemed to work. The left side is the only side mine fits on.
Tesla probably doesn't care but the general public, Congress, NTHSA, etc. does, and so Tesla is just CTA.Why is Tesla even concerned about this? There video demonstrating FSD in Nov. 2016 has driver for legal purposes only and does not touch the steering wheel entire trip.
Not really the point here lol but if you're curiousThe rules state that you have to have your hands on the wheel to use Tesla's ADAS features.
So, let me ask this question: Why don't the rules apply to you?
What other rules do you ignore? Red lights? Stop signs? Crossing double-yellow lines? No turn on red? One-way street? Where do you draw the line on what rules you get to ignore? I'm curious.
And yes, FSD Beta breaks some of those rules from time to time. However, it's not intentional, and you, as the driver, are responsible for correcting it and reporting errors.
