To circle back on this discussion, it turns out that my electrician already installed the aforementioned 400A MSP. Tesla though is ok with the below architecture so I'm just going to go ahead and keep the my MSP even though as @wwhitney pointed out it's a bit overkill because I won't be using the MSP's internal bus distribution.
