5 daya old MY ...tail lights have cracks

Just got my MY SR on Monday and today (sunday)when I did a detailed inspection I just noticed cracks in both tail lights .I did check the car on delivery date min wasn't there. I have nothing that could cause it from outside and all cracks seems internal .there is no damage from outside. Took the car for ceramic coating and as today was my day off I saw these cracks .Have already booked a mobile service booked .

There is condensation on the drive side tail light.
Auto trunk closure so can't be because of closing it too hard .

What can cause it and what are my chances of it being replaced under warranty.

I suggest that you update your open service request on the Tesla App. You can attach up to 5 photos to your service request as I recall. Tesla will probably want to examine the tail lights for signs of impact damage. If Tesla determines that the cracked tail light lenses are not due to any impact or other external force they will order, install replacements at no charge under the Tesla vehicle's warranty.

I had a few very small cracks in my left-side tail light, which I'm positive were not there upon delivery. I noticed them a few months after. I opened a service ticket, including photos, and they had no issue replacing it.

I have no clue what caused the cracks, nor did the service folks. It's now been two months since replacement, with no recurrence.

Got a message from SC they said there is a rear Collison reported for your car in the last 14 days . Asked me for pictures of the rear end .sent them that as there was no external damage and they messaged me back that they will cover it under warranty

That's pretty strange (especially the fact that both lights are affected) those look like stress fractures along the top as opposed to anything that could have been caused by an impact event. Almost looks like maybe someone (or something) screwed the lights in too tight when installing them placing excessive pressure on the light itself (this is just a wild guess on my part, I have no knowledge of how these are actually mounted to the car). Hope the SC is able to sort everything out for you.

Hello,
I just washed my car and noticed that both my taillights are cracked as well.
Did Tesla service fixed yours under warranty?

It takes quite a bit of force to crack the plastic. And since there are no apparent sign of impact/strike on the outside, we can rule out vandalism. To me, these all seem to be stress fractures from tightening/torquing the nut too hard from the back side.
