Take a look at supercharge.info. Fountain Valley, CA made it as #500 there. Also, it hit the boiling point of water for North America, #212!

Perhaps where I live at 245 feet above sea level, Cottonwood, but where you live? Tesla hit that number several weeks ago!

Yes, the boiling point of water is 197˚ F. at my house in Pagosa, and about 202˚ at my house in Boulder, but most people think sea level boiling point, or 212˚ F or 100˚ C.

Considering that Tesla launched the SC network less than 3 years ago, it is an impressive accomplishment indeed, despite complaints from some quarters.
The build out will continue, and there is still absolutely no sign that any other car company plans to do anything remotely close to the Tesla SC network. That continues to surprise me.
I am in the middle of a 3,400 mile road trip in the western United States, and the SC network has worked very well for me.

I thought so, too, but they were both at 499 when Fountain Valley opened.

I see on the TM forum that someone says this lot is closed off. Maybe they're trying to save it for an official 500th ceremony?

It was online for a while, when this thread was created. That makes it the 500th.

The Tesla website now reads 500 Superchargers. No Fountain Valley.

Supercharge.info, which I don't think is official but rather user-sourced, also shows 500 with the 500th being open in Moers, Germany today. Supercharge.info has Fountain Head under construction and a total of 211 in the US.
