Does a NEMA 14-60 fit a NEMA 6-50, but with the prongs being too long slightly?

It is a long story, but I plugged into what I expected to be a 6-50 and it fit but the prongs were too long. I think it had 4 prongs, but wasn't able to get a good look at it. As I was confused, the person whose outlet it was jammed the plug in, then said that it was 60A. Previously I'd assessed a 6-50 from an extension cord photo, but we didn't need the extension. It didn't fit perfectly, but it charged the car fine.

If I charged there again, I'd want to get the right plug. Is the 14-50 adapter compatible with a 14-60 outlet?
