6 weeks since MX confirmation - account page still says "scheduled for production in our factory"

Just placed order tonight. Oh the waiting. So six weeks hua?

From what I have heard the build times are a function of not only when you order, but also where you are. They seem to build cars for various countries in groups maybe to minimize shipping costs or dealing with different parts on a car by car basis (ex. left side drive vs right side drive). I ordered at the end of February and got my car May 30. Other people in the US ordered in April and got their cars by Mid June.

Ordered on 6/30 east coast, same scheduled for production.

I want it as late as possible, but would like more clarity in timing so I can deal with the trade (or sell it outright, so far no good offers on my Model S).

I would be fine with next quarter, accelerated our order because of the Supercharging and internet offers ending. We wanted to order end of September but we've been spoiled by the unlimited Supercharging, just get in the car and roll, the internet wasn't that big a deal but we're used to not sending Tesla money on a regular schedule.

We knew the first or second day of the quarter they'd hit the 200k mark but that wasn't a consideration.

Even though they hit the 200K, you will be eligible for the 7.5K federal incentive I think through Dec 2018. After that someone mentioned on these forums that it drops down to 4/4.5K?

Mine went into production today!

Aaaaand it's done!

"Your Tesla has been built and is in transit from the factory."

8/17/2018 3 days in production/testing. :D

Still no DS contact, and... we now have our 4th Delivery Specialist. I firmly believe that DS#3 was a ghost. Never heard a peep from them.
I have been contacted by my DS and have an delivery scheduled for Sept 7th, but my car still show in production. 7 Days now. On a side note, my Wall Charge has been installed this weekend!

Congrats! :)

As I've learned from various sources here, put more credence in what your DS tells you over what the web-site indicates.

EDIT: I should add that my own DS finally reached out to me to schedule our delivery. We're set (for the moment) for Saturday, Aug 25th. Fingers crossed!

I woke up this morning pleasantly surprised to the following change in my account page ...

"Your Tesla is currently in production"

Yay !!! FYI - I configured 6/30.

I give up on trying to figure out the rhyme/reason on how Tesla determines production order. The only thing that is obvious is that they batch the international orders and we're currently a few weeks into them turning on the domestic orders again. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be a pattern with regards to paint color, engine size, or anything else for that matter. My best guess is that they geographically batch USA orders so that they can be as efficient as possible when loading up the 3's, S's and X's on their journey to their final destination. I'll be able to test this theory out because there is another MX on the spreadsheet who configured 3 days later than me (also in Colorado) - I am expecting to see their production start date pop up on the tracking spreadsheet within the next day or two. Our red & blue MX's can keep each other company during the 1200 mile trek to Colorado.

Yipppeeeeee ...

Congrats! I have a July 20 confirmation date and still waiting for mine to go into production but after reading this thread I will stop complaining as much. My main question now is do we get a notification when the car enters production or do we find out by accessing our Tesla account online?
