Well, delivery is scheduled for tomorrow at my office but the vehicle is still showing Birmingham and hasn't arrived at my service center for PDI and detailing, let alone getting loaded up to ship out.

It isn't physically impossible to make the delivery but the closer it actually is the Birmingham the less likely that is. I'm scheduled to sell the Model S tomorrow after work so we'll see how this plays out. The first delay due to trying to deliver it into Hurricane Florence and rerouting instead is fine we can't control the weather.

Maybe it's in the service center lot in the morning and this is no big deal, but if not that makes two missed deliveries in a row. We're a one car family and renting or Ubering for an indefinite period will be quite the hassle and unnecessary expense. (especially when it will need to be done again for the PPF process, but that's a much more controlled situation)

It finally arrived, I couldn't get to the service center until 6 minutes after they close. I'll be there when they open but they set my appointment for 11:30. Super disappointed that the person in Nevada who set us up for a home delivery yesterday did zero follow through, should have been asking how it went yesterday (and getting an earful) or if he'd checked between when he set the appointment and when it was supposed to happen he'd have been able to manage expectations.

That's horrible. Total Tesla blue balls. Post pics after tomorrow!

Placed order on Sept 16th, Confirmed on 20th, got a VIN around or before 30th. When I placed order the design studio showed "November" for est delivery date. I feel stuck in "scheduled for production in our factory" limbo... dropped an email to my DS asking if there's any update.

Trying to plan the timing of the private sale hand-over of my existing car. Hoping to give the buyer an ETA.

you wont know until November.

and if your DS is named Derek you wont know anything. Ordered 9/1 for late september delivery and he has nothing for me but made up stories and lies. My account has updated to let me know beginning and end of production and he has not contacted me back for over 2 weeks so I hope you have a different DS. I thought DS meant Delivery Specialist but i vote for Dip $hit in my experience. His best reply was "IDK, your car will be built in CA and i am in Las Vegas" The only objective comment that I am sure of is that their communication skills are not as bad as their timely referral program hahaha.

Same here. Order placed on Sept 13th, Confirmed on 17th, got a VIN on Sept 20th. I truly believe that hitting refresh at least 50 times a day will speed up production. So far my car is still "scheduled for production in our factory" too, but I have faith!!! :D

you wont know until November.

Emailed my delivery specialist for the first time today asking if there is an update. He told me that the car is scheduled for production (yea, that's what I got from the page already), but that it is "set to begin production within the month of November. We are looking at a delivery timeline of mid to late December."

I'd have expected it much earlier, early November seemed likely, especially considering Tesla's promise to people that if they ordered by Oct 15th your car would be delivered by EOY. Considering I ordered 1mo prior to that... I'd have thought I'd see it by end of November. <shrug>

Do they batch up shipments to locations like Vancouver and don't build/ship until they have a full shipment?
