that's also my VIN but no email yet about production.

Interestingly I contacted the DS on Tuesday, who told me my car has entered production (VIN 166xx), and to be on the lookout for the email from Tesla... Still no email stating that it is in production... But I did get the MVPA (Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement) sent to Alliant. So we're progressing... but still no email about entering production. Check with you DS if you don't receive it soon, as you should be going into production any day... of course we do have that long weekend coming up, so it may be next week. And I'm sure many will tell you that the VIN isn't always the best indicator, but I have found it to be somewhat helpful in understanding the "range" of time frame for production. Delivery is a different issue, due to distances, transportation, scheduling etc.

Funny thing is I still haven't received my email from Tesla saying it is in production - I just happened to call the DS the same day it went into production (Tuesday). Since then I have received my MVPA (and for those that do not know what that stands for, because I sure didn't, it's Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement.) The thing about that is that the MVPA says my delivery will be on or about 9/24/2016, even though the DS has always said around 9/15. Given that it is in production, I was expecting something closer to 9/7-9/10 (Since I am in Cali and only 2 hours from Freemont). When I asked the DS about the prospect of a 9-7-9/10 delivery, I basically got a wink... hmmmm... Didn't say yes, didn't say no... hmmmm... we'll keep you all posted!

Ok, so now I have to take back the "Still haven't received my email saying it was in production" because at 8:39PM Pacific, we received an email from Tesla with the subject "We have started building your Tesla". So it's only two full days since the DS said it entered production, but whatev... Still good to have the confirmation!

To quote Steve Irwin (rip) - "Crikey!" Lots of cars showing up as 1-day turnaround in production. I think this is the week that they will call out as hitting 2200/wk in total factory production. They're really ripping through the backlog.

Confirmed: 7/21
Configuration: 60D, black, 6 seats, ob wheels, black leather, ap, pup, uhfs
No vin yet.

DS said it would be late Oct or early Nov. Told them my lease was up end of october. Hope that helps move it along, but not holding my breath.

Got my vin and expected delivery date of 10/12/16!!!
Vin: 174xx

After emailing one of my people at tesla, I Got an email on 8/31 saying my tesla went into production. Yesterday I got an email saying it was finished. I emailed my delivery specialist asking if i was going to get my pup early. She emailed me back within an hour and said i could get a delivery date of 9/30 or sooner if i wanted. She said to expect about 14-20 days for transit from CA to FL. My lease doesn't end until the end of Oct. I think i'm just going to eat the last lease payment.
