Saw a news story reporting 85 Teslas at the Rally, up from 55 last year.
About 50 miles away in Sturgis, they usually have over 500k attendees — and over 750k in 2015 — for their little week long motorcycle get together in August. Though officially brand-neutral, it is mostly a rally celebrating all things Harley Davidson with large quantities of alcohol mandatory, clothing optional and tattoos suggested.
It took about thirty years for Sturgis to catch on in a big way. So if Tesla doesn’t go broke in ten months my grandkids had better start thinking about accommodations in or near Custer for the 2050 Rally.
