7.4% range loss after Michelin CrossClimate2 tires

However, the lack of comparative testing means that you may not know what the comparison is.
  • 1% worse range for 10% better stopping distances? Probably many people will take that.
  • 10% worse range for 1% better stopping distances? Probably fewer takers.
But without comparative testing, you may not know what the actual numbers above are.

Well, for braking distance there's tons of such data out there.

Less so on range impact, but even the stickiest street tires around are usually no more than 7-10% of a hit as discussed in a ton of threads here (including this one citing 7.4%), while stopping distance with them improves by like 20-30% over the stock all-seasons typically.

(MXM4s to PS4s being the poster child for that, dropping stopping distance from ~133 feet to ~100)
