7-seat config waiting room

Forgot to post about my delivery. Received car on 3/13. Overall it was great, I got to experience the lows and highs of Tesla service. Exterior and interior was flawless but had an issue with the 2nd-row seat sensor not detecting the seat was latched. Ended up being a loose sensor wire. I asked how this did not get uncovered during pre-inspection. Apparently, the sensor detects it's latched when there is weight on the seat. The seat functioned during their test but they did not sit in the seat. They said it was one of the first 7 seat deliveries in the area and now they know to sit in the back seats when doing their checks.

Good thing was I got a Model X loaner for the day and they threw in free Tesla all weather floor mats and 2 die-cast cars for my kids. I always wanted to drive an X so it was fine by me. Tesla called me when the repair was complete and they offered to drive the car to me (~1hr away). I told them that I wanted to come pick it up but it made me feel better that they were offering.

I have to say I like the Y better than the X loaner (it was a 75d, probably a 2017)

Just got the 2021.4.12 update last night and have thoroughly impressed with Autopilot, FSD, and just everything about the car.

Finally got my VIN. 150XXX

Ordered on 1/16 white/blk/20''/no FSD or tow in Idaho.
Twin!

Had my delivery scheduled for tomorrow at 10am in the Carlsbad (San Diego) service center, but then got a call just now asking if I wanted to pick it up today. Duh! I'll just have to figure out a time when I can sneak away from the office for an hour, but super pumped to be finally getting it. I'll post an update with pics later.

Way to go, Idaho!
Are you picking up in SLC or are they bringing it to you?
I’m still waiting but my guess is I should hear something today or tomorrow based on the fact that I was told I was somewhere in the production process on Tuesday and our configurations are almost identical and our order dates were close as well. Hopefully part of the same shipment.

I guess all Idaho deliveries get shipped to SLC 1st then they get shipped to Boise Service Center. I guess there are not enough orders in Idaho to have a direct shipping line. Not sure what the thought process is here but seems to make sense to Telsa. :)

I assume @MY_Boy_Blue took delivery in Maryland. (The law there is that every new car has to come with a spare, run-flats, or a repair kit.)

Yes, I took delivery in Rockville, MD. When I mentioned this to the Delivery Specialist when I picked up the other day he said they have been doing this for the last 5 months or so... not that it was a MD thing but that would make sense.

Has anyone else received a Tire Repair Kit outside of MD?

I know this is the game, but I have to say my frustration seeing myriad VINs issued to people who have ordered this month while still waiting for a VIN on my 1/22 order is growing.

Yes - I am aware that CA deliveries get backed ended in the month;
Yes - I am aware the product is worth it;
Yes - I am aware quarterly deliveries is what Tesla care about;

Still there is something that smacks against a sense of fairness in the way Tesla delivers. I’m not even one of the people who ordered in 2019 and still don’t have their VIN or delivery.
Tesla would do us all a favor and just tell people to expect an undefined wait for these things!

Transparency would greatly be appreciated. I think that's what stings the most is feeling like the SA's are just not being honest about their knowledge of what's going on with YOU and your vehicle.

Found VIN lurking on my "Manage your order" page tonight, the only day I did not sign in to my Tesla account. I have been refreshing the page every few hours since I placed the order on 3/12 except today. Go figure! VIN 149,425. Midnight Steel Metallic with black interior, 7 seater, 19" Gemini wheels, No FSD, no tow hitch. Chicago delivery. No date yet.

Ordered a MY7 LR AWD White, Black interior, 19s, FSD, Tow hitch on 3/9. I haven’t been contacted by my SA yet, but I talked to someone on the phone to finish out my profile on 3/12. He said I should expect delivery before 3/26, but no movement yet. He also said my SA would contact me soon, but obviously that wasn’t true so I’m assuming that 3/26 date is suspect. Time will tell!

It’s finally here! Ordered 1/16, VIN 3/15, Delivery 3/18. MY LR/7s/Wht/Blk/20”/AP/NoTow

I’m gonna go through with a fine-toothed comb and see what might be worth servicing, but nothing stood out to me at the service center. Super easy and I was all smiles on the way home! Maybe i don’t need the performance boost just yet... this thing moves!

I spoke to my SA today. I was told that their system shows a soft match for me and I should get information by March 22 and delivery around March 24th. He also told these are just estimates. Has anybody seen soft match and estimate around it becoming true?

My order - MY-LR, 7-seat, White with white, Gemini, FSD, no tow, In Seattle area.

My wife today got an amazing job offer. While she was signing her offer letter, I ordered a 7 seater Model-X red colored with walnut interior. I have both the orders right now but most likely will not be accepting Model-Y this quarter. I'll decide which one to pick next quarter but right now I am leaning towards X. Lets see. Totally prepared about their ETAs this time :)

Thank you everyone for helping me out. I hope everyone's order gets fulfilled this quarter. I'll be still active in this forum but on Model-X thread. The ETA for X is June (which I know is a joke) so I can relax for sometime...
