I agree with softer ride quality compared to my 2019 model 3 stealth with 19"s. I'm getting old...softer is better for me - lol. It didn't seem noticeably more quiet...it definitely isn't louder. I do think it feels more solidly put together. We are very happy with the purchase.Ride quality something that is mostly personal preference in my books but compare to our 20 M3 that we traded in MY has nicer softer ride and definitely more quiet than M3. Also back up cam pic appear to be better quality or maybe I am tripping. All I can say: “Guys hang in there it is worth it!!!!”
Wish ya all soon deliveries!
I am right there with you. When I called the store in Rodgers MN they told me while it still shows TBD on my delivery window they said I should probably receive a vin towards the end of july early august. not sure if i believe them or not but that would track very similar to your current edd. Good luck to you!Neat. Going on month 9
my SA said similar. I don't expect to get this until the end of Q3 "push". That is end of September. And the only reason I THINK I will get it then is because they won't want these to hit the 1 year wait mark. Just a guess.I am right there with you. that makes sense. I wont be shocked if its closer to what you are thinking either. I was just happy that for the first time since my edd changed to TBD to have a not stock answer of part shortages caused my edd to disappear. She also said that she would submit a case to have the operation team look at the order just to see why the TBD had been stuck for so long. She said it might not change and result in an actual date but at least someone would be physically looking at it.my SA said similar. I don't expect to get this until the end of Q3 "push". Yep, hang in there. Ordered last Oct, up until Sunday I had Sept-Oct as my delivery estimate. All of a sudden out of nowhere Sunday I get a text that my VIN is assigned and to finish up the paperwork. It has been a mad scramble this week.Neat. Going on month 9
Could it be an Austin build?Yep, hang in there. Ordered last Oct, up until Sunday I had Sept-Oct as my delivery estimate. All of a sudden out of nowhere Sunday I get a text that my VIN is assigned and to finish up the paperwork. It has been a mad scramble this week.
Sorry for cross posting...
Well, well, well..... let me start with good news. VIN received. Yes, it did happen.
Now the details.
These days my routines were to check the app and online source for VIN multiple times a day. Last I checked today was around 3:15 PM EST, and of course, there was nothing.
I was driving at around 4:15 PM EST and received a text message. I peeked on my watch, and wallah, it basically said that VIN is assigned. The other day I was asking all of you what you felt when you received this text, so let me tell you how I felt. I found myself smiling for the rest of the drive, but not really over-the-top excitement. Maybe because I was driving or maybe because I have waited for a long time, or maybe because I know things can still go south.
Also, I quickly realized that I didn't know what to do next. In terms of insurance, etc. I'm trying to figure it out and it seems that I can upload my existing insurance in OH.
I also checked with the local store and they told me that car is still in Fremont and expected to arrive around the 24th and will take 2-3 days to get it ready for delivery. Time will tell.
In another week or so, I'll attempt to remove FSD and will see how it goes.
Overall, exactly 8 months after I placed the order, I received VIN. Knowing many of you are still waiting, I can safely say that FSD (added on May 31st) did the job.
Updating everything here since signature can't handle that many characters
MYLR7, OD 10/10/21, PC complete 10/12/21, MSM/Blk (white til 3/25/22), No Tow, Added FSD (5/29/22): Original EDD April; 3/3-3/31; June; 4/4-5/2; June; 3/10-4/7; June; 5/17-6/14; 4/21-5/19; 6/15-7/13; June; 6/7-7/5; June; 6/7-7/5; 5/10-6/14; 5/15-5/29; 6/14-7/19; 6/16-7/14; 7/9-8/13; 6/22-7/6; 6-21-7/5; VIN 465XXX received 6/10/21 at 4:15 PM EST via text; Delivery expected between June 24-28.
If you hate hot seats use cabin overheat protection mode or activate AC manually before coming to the car. Easy fix. All,
I have finally picked it. My experience was great. No fuss. Check your car, note any issues, sign a few papers, and drive out. There are a few panel gaps that someone can be fussy about, but I'm not going to make an issue for a few mm mismatches. Driver-side lumbar support is not working, so I have an appointment to take a look.
Inside feels a lot cheaper than a 60+K car.
I love autopilot, but glad that I didn't fall for FSD, especially since they have just added the EAP option.
7-seater view: This is me looking at 7-seater for the first time and I'm not too fond of those two additional seats. My kids refused to sit. If you want to give them some legroom in that row, then you effectively take it away from the middle row. Well, they are there now, so they can be useful in an emergency.
Major issue: Hate not having ventilated seats; it gets uncomfortable on hot day.
Minor issue: Missing carplay.
Here are the accessories that I have purchased so far:

Unfortunately? no. It's a Fremont build. Was hoping for an Austin and 4680's but oh well. I have a CT on order, assuming the price doesn't double.Could it be an Austin build?
Overprotection mode is already activated. I'll try to put the middle seat down and see how it goes. We don't really need 3rd row, so only 3K down if it remains unusable. I'm glad you and your kids like it and enjoying the ride. As you mentioned in another post, ride is soft, so no complain there. If you hate hot seats use cabin overheat protection mode or activate AC manually before coming to the car. Easy fix.
3rd row is claustrophobic for sure. What helps is to get middle seat down to open up air flow and make it less closed in there. Try and see if kids will like that better.
Benefits of being in California and be iFIT f from the EOQ push. Congrats!Holy smokes! I just got the text that my VIN was assigned. Was not at all ready for that! I spent months at the December-February purgatory, and after getting another push out with everyone else, was feeling comfortable with my further revised 10/29-12/24 EDD. Now scrambling.
MYLR/Black/Black/20” Induction/7 seater/FSD/No tow Ordered: 3/8

The third row in most SUV's is for across town activities with an extra person or two. If you have a young family, this is no problem because it'll be the kids and/or their friends. If you are under 5'7" (which a lot of women are), this is also not a problem.Congrats on the car. It's a fun car to drive. And you'll save a ton of money on gas. But I've been emphasizing this... it's not a$60k($70k) car. For $70k, you can get soooo many features with another car. The only advantage Tesla has is E vs gas.
I'm still torn on the extra two seats. I hope to get the car soon so I can try it myself and decide what to do.
congrats on the new car and short turnaround. i am now about to enter month 10 with my orderFIL successfully picked up his LRY-7 yesterday from Fremont! Says he loves it, though I didn't get a chance to ask him if it came with a charging cable or how thorough a lookover he gave it. At least that means there were no horrendous issues I'm thinking. Lol
7 weeks from order to delivery (with an assist from an inventory demo car snafu).
