70D power usage and efficiency compared to RWD 85

Hello,

We have our 70D since a couple of days. Before buying I was curious about the efficiency improvement compared to the 85 that we had for one year and 35000KM.
Both cars had Michelin tires and 19 wheels.

Here are the first numbers.

Today's commute:

  • 163WH / KM at 22 Celcius and 105KM/H or
  • 262 wh / Mile at 72F and 65 MPH

Since we own the car, 700KM / 435 Miles, :
  • 183 WH/KM
  • 294 WH/Mile

For the 85 we had last year, the number I had where:

  • 163WH/KM at 90KM/H and 28C
  • 260WH/Mile at 55 MPH and 83F

  • 176WH/KM at 100KM/H and 29C
  • 283WH/Mile at 62MPH and 84F

It seems there is a slight and real improvement. I will continue to collect more data.

If you have a 85, 85D or 70D could you please share your data in this thread?

Thanks!

Thank you for sharing the data, CA_Fabien.

I am wondering about the difference between the 70D battery pack as compared to other variants. Would you mind posting a picture of your battery pack label? It can be found on the passenger side, looking at the side of the pack (about 7 inches above the ground level) behind the wheel. You'll need to turn the wheels all the way to the left to make the label visible.

The label from my battery pack is attached for the reference. Thanks!
