72 amp. Yes or no?

Just get the 72A. Small price to pay to charge faster if you install a HPWC at > 40A, or if you're out and about and use a non Tesla charge station that is rated >40A. And not having it could have an impact for resale later on down the line. IMO, I think it's silly they didn't just put the 72A charger on all Model X.

OTOH, those of us who do mostly typical daily commute type stuff and charge at home whenever we want can get by just fine with the regular charger on a 50A circuit. So I do see why some would forego the upgrade.
