8.0 Slacker issue with first song after the car starts

This is a strange one. When I get in my car and start to drive the first song that I play has a problem greater than 50% of the time.

The problem is this - the song plays until it is partway through and then the playback pauses, the song terminates and the next song loads. From then on the music seems to play without any issues. This happens when I leave from my home, or the office or other places. The song appears to download fine when the car starts up as you see the progress bar quickly completing.

Has anyone else seen this?

No, many have reported this issue including myself. There's a several page thread about it already.

My song skips at 48 seconds remaining, always the song that first plays when the car turns on.

Ok thanks, I missed that thread. That pretty much describes it but I hadn't noticed that it was always with about 40 seconds remaining.

Having the same problem..first song ends about 15 sec short....

This is happening to our new tesla as well. Only does this to the first song then all works perfect. Must be a software glitch.

Hey there.. yes i noticed the same problem. I've also noticed (usually when leaving from home) that the radio defaults to 540 AM which picks up the noise from the motors (sounds like an ICE) lol

I do have the Sound Upgrade Package.

Mine didn't do this (the AM radio thing) for the first few days of 8.0 but started soon after. I did get the song cutoff from day one of 8.0 though. It's definitely a widespread problem!

I also have this problem. Very annoying! I also seem to get more "loading error" messages with 8.0 then before.

This seems to be fixed with 2.42.40!! Updated this morning on 70D. I started one of those threads due to my frustration. I'm happy again!

+1 here. Noticed shortly after upgrade, but it does not happen every day. Seems if it is parked overnight it does not happen, but if I drive it to work and then leave for home it happens.
