8.0 USB Media Player workaround

I haven't quite figured out why some M4A's work, and some I get "load error". Anyone have any ideas? Same bit rate on the working vs not working ones.

So with the Hamilton album the artist field for each song has the same name?

many different artists, depending on which of the 46 tracks you pick... some are the same, but lots of different combinations of artists.

What about renaming the artist field with one single duplicate name using a tag editor? Then they should all show up in the album view and play in the proper order.

yup... thanks...

I just went into iTunes and edited the artists field and changed the song titles to put a numeric sequence in front of each... i will load this on a chip and give it a test in the morning... shouldn't have to do this, but hopefully this workaround will accomplish the task at hand.
