It's crazy that is all what is "under the hood".

Could this be put in front of a 84d to make it a p85d? Could it replace a 60kwh motor? (is there a difference?)
Void warranty?

Good luck. Interesting offering....

If anyone is interested in using this motor in a project; here is one option to make use of it:

Send the motor to here, and they will make a software "model" for their inverter to drive that motor:

SCOTT DRIVE - Products

Use this to interface the 2 items and use it as the "throttle":

EVTV Motor Verks Store: 1 Generalized Vehicle Control Unit (GEVCU), Meters and Tools, gevcu

Another option would be to use the Tesla inverter; learn the CAN codes and again; use that GEVCU as the "throttle" to operate the motor. In theory; you can drive that motor with any inverter; but it will take some work(knowledge) to make it operate the motor.

Here is a Curtis controller driving a rewound off the shelf motor: Our Test Mule

If anyone has any dreams for that motor; contact this place for help if needed: EV West - High Performance Electric Vehicle Parts (These guys: http://evshow.com/ )

You might want to reword your description of the motor. To us roll your own EV types, a 85 kW motor is just that, 114 hp. Your motor came out of a 85 kWhr Tesla, but the motor is a 283 kW unit (380 hp).

And it includes the Inverter ! !

[bar bet for free beers: Name the Quad Cities: Most can come up with Rock Island, Davenport and Moline, but by golly they never remember Bettendorf ! !] [note the irony]

First of all, how did you ever get it removed?
Tesla will NOT do this.
What happened to your car?
Anyone buying it in hopes of re installing it into another Tesla will not be able to have Tesla install it. They won't under any circumstances.
If you do it yourself, it will void the warranty.
Not worth it.
