Los Angeles Tesla Rally - PICS

Thank you to Dennis for allowing me to ride shotgun in his roadster as we are both awaiting our Model S's. 125 cars took part in this 50 mile police escorted drive through Los Angeles, here are some pics, I'm sure others will have more.

He-he. Consider it your penance to post a nice, clear picture of your Cyclone wheels for those that have been asking for it.

Cyclone's are on back-order. They cannot even give me a date for when they are expected to arrive. I will certainly post pics when I get them. None of the MS's there today had them either. The only place I see the cyclones is on my screen.

Here are more pics, including the champagne pink MS and mine (absent the cyclones). A bunch of us climbed up onto the roof of the design center to get some shots in. We probably should not have been up there. I one point, there were like 30 of us up there. Could have turned ugly.

Thanks to all who created a great event and an unforgettable day. If it wasn't for the street fair detour, we would have driven 100% non-stop during the 50 miles. Amazing photos everyone. Love the one looking up at the bridge.

Here is a link to 60 photos I took during the event. Enjoy some Petersen Automotive Museum early electrics, one small hybrid and the GM EV-1.

It was great hanging with you folks. I'm glad that you were able to ride with me Jim (NoMoGas)... I'll have to check out your P85+ when you get it.

I put my pictures up on Flickr in two sets... First is the TeslaRun Set... The other is the Petersen Museum Set...

Looks like I have to update my formerly ActiveE focused blog posts to add some more Tesla ones...

It was nice to run across the young man (forgot name, sorry) who checked out my Active E from last year's plug in day and arrived this year with his parents in a Model S.

It's nice to QUIETLY rumble through the streets and freeways of Southern California with 124 of the Tesla brethren!

My family had fun at the event and it was great talking to a few owners. I wished there were more scenic views in the route like in the Tesla Run homepage photo.

Some of the Tesla Run photographers at the Petersen museum could use a but more class. At one point my 2 year old daughter was in the way of their shots. They could at least display some manners and say, "excuse me", rather than try to shove their way behind my daughter who nearly lost her balance. I nearly lost my temper seeing that happen.
