Just changed from production to IN transit. CA to Chicago . Excited Order confirmed 7/24. In production 8/04. In transit 8/09. Fast turn around time
With L mode? You might be the first to take delivery if someone in CA doesn't beat you to it. We need video etc.
Wow that's great! I ordered my 70d a week after you also coming to the Midwest and I'm still waiting for it to get off the queue. When is the ETA? Comgrats!
Thanks for funding development of my future Model 3, and congrats. I'd love an account of Ludicrous Mode. Bonus points for a reaction video. It could be the very first because Tesla didn't have an event like the P85D.
I'd really like to see the supercharger taper on the new 90kwh batteries. If you get a chance take video of a supercharging session or jot down some charge rates in combination with state of charge. And Ludicrous mode... count me jealous!
That's awesome. Envious here too - I still don't have my pre-P90D availability P85D yet! (It's still being shipped). Not only might you get your car first, you'll have Ludicrous Mode. ARRGH!
I'm VIN 98368, ordered on 07/17 and confirmed on 07/24. I'm still in production so it doesn't look like my P90D will be making the trip to Chicago with yours. :frown:
@H. Syed. Really looking forward to hear about the performance in the new P90D(L). Would it be possible for you to test it with a VBOX. We, as in some P85D, owners regrettably does not have the promised performance - looking forward to see it this has been fixed with L mode. /Ken
For sure, take it to a 135KW location from the list North American Tesla Supercharger locations - Tesla Motors Club - Enthusiasts & Owners Forum and try to get as close to 0% charge when you start. Let us know the max KW charge rate you can achieve.
I just got off with Tesla. Car is at rail facility Richmond CA. It will be waiting there till they have it all filled for travel to Chicago area. Bummer. Looking at end of this month. Hopefully it will be earlier. I mostly travel to St. Louis and use either normal or Springfield charger. Will test battery as soon as available. Regarding p85D I have nobexperience. I drove p85+. Gave realistic 220 miles at 80 miles speed on highway in summer. 170-180 winter season. Will keep you guys posted on any changed schedule.
By earlier conversation with tesla we are probably going to get it in same shipment. - - - Updated - - - I'll post numbers once I test performance.
+1 Looking forwards to the numbers. Do you own a Vbox? If so, please test the accelleration without 1 foot roll-out, and then again with roll-off, and let os know the difference.
I doubt the 90 will pull any greater than 120 kW and pretty confident that the taper will be the same WRT SOC.
My status just updated to "in transit from the factory". Update from my delivery specialist: "Hi Dave – your Model S is currently being prepared for shipment to the railway hub in Richmond, CA where it will be loaded onto a train and shipped to Illinois. They are currently estimating your P90D to arrive near the end of the month. With that being said, I will know more once the car is physically loaded onto the train and begins to ship out of the yard. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more accurate information and we can start looking at dates/times that work for your schedule."
it actually exists do you have any previous experience driving a P85D? I am very interested in comments regarding difference in power above 30-40mph in ludicrous-mode vs insane-mode...
