Whenever I get into my car the a/c automatically starts running but only the drivers side vents are on. Is there a way to have always have both sides turned on? I have to manually turn on the passenger side every time but would prefer for both to be on without intervention

First to come to mind is to make sure you link the driver and passenger temp together by turning off “split” in climate controls. Secondly, and I’m not 100% sure, but the passenger vent may only be active when you have a passenger. Does perusing the owner’s manual address your question as well?

I have the same issue on my new M3P. The "split" function has nothing to do with it. The passenger A/C automatically starts only if you sit on the passenger seat or manually activate it on the screen. Opening passenger door does not activate the passenger A/C, you need to sit down. Probably an energy saving feature.
