But remember, you need hit atleast 240 wh/mile to get anything more than the rated 310 miles.

So although 300 wh/mile at 90 mph is pretty good compared to an S, it is important to know in what conditions can you get less than 250 wh/mile to hit 300 miles range

At 78.2 kWh usable 250 Wh/mi will give you a range of 312 miles.

I guess the post about an owner in CA who reported getting 240 Wh/mi in commuting traffic indicates the EPA range is reachable in mild climate, dense traffic at limited speed.
Model S/X's range also suffers most from low temperature (heater) and high speeds. I suspect with model 3 it isn't any different.

In my fatigue last night I see I made a major typo. He said he was burning about 300 watts per mile at 90 mph and 260 watts per mile at 75. I am hoping to burn about 225 watts per mile at 65 mph ( flat road, no wind, 70F, clear weather)

{Mod note: updated original post to reflect these numbers -- original version had numbers 100Wh/mi larger}

I get 270wh/mi @75mph in my P85 with 21in wheels. I was really hoping for better numbers than that.

Are you sure you don't mean 370 wh/mi? I would be very happy with your numbers!!!!! Abetterroutdeplanner figures 340 wh/mi at 65 mph for an MS P85. If what you say is correct, I want to learn your driving style! ABRP rates a model 3 at 255 wh/mi at 65 mph and using your driving technique, I should be able to get less than 200 wh/mi with my model 3 at 75 mph at 1000 pounds lighter than your car and with 18" wheels!

Yep, the average real world numbers for the S85 I have seen are between 360 and 370 wh/mi. I expect 260 wh/mi for my M3 LR.

Too good to be true, I suspect

At 65 mph there is 183 Wh/mile from tyres and air, yet we think on-road consumption is about 237 Wh/mile

We are talking about 290 Wh/mile just from tyres and air at 90 mph, so in the neighborhood of 350-375 Wh/mile at 90 mph is I think balllpark

Agreed. I am not willing to buy the 300 wh/mile claim at 90 mph, unless I see a video.
