A- pillar, door cracking

I hear cracking as the windshield cools with AC on. As far as I can tell, the A-pillar trim pieces are specially designed to maximize noise and rattle generation. Not sure if that is the source of the cracking but assume so.

Maybe someone has put together a Wiki about how to remove and sound deaden these pieces. Would not be surprised if Tesla revs that part.

I’ve identified the cracking noise as coming from the silver plastic trim around the air vent opening and adjacent to the wood/white trim. Press on the silver bits and you’ll hear them snap/crack like they do when cold air starts blowing over the hot surfaces after being parked.
