I got a Coverking custom dashboard cover. Got the black polycarpet one for $54 shipped.

Unlike other dash covers out there, this one covers the whole dash. Goes all the way to the windshield. The material is very lightweight and supposedly transparent to sound.

The purpose for this is to further reduce the occurrence of glare.

Well, this looks nice (and like the title !!!) but it seems a little pricey.

I remember these were really popular years ago when your dashboard would have cracks in it...you buy one of these to cover it up.

My post, along with my previous spare tire FB post got deleted for inappropriate content.

I never knew Tesla owners were so sensitive over what other people do with their cars in that group. And there is no lack of experts/automotive engineers contributing on that group.

I thought I was helping out by bringing attention to an accessory for a car that is so far lacking in accessories. This dash cover goes all the way to the windshield which is different than all the others I have looked at.

I won’t waste any more time there.

That's like a bumper buddy -- looks worse than what it's trying to prevent (IMNHO).

Does it affect your defrost?

After closely inspecting the dash cover, it ends just short of the defrost vent openings at the edge of the windshield, so no it does not affect the defrost.

It serves a function...although starting to look like the Mutt Cutt's van in "Dumb and Dumber".

Thanks for posting I was going to start a thread asking if anyone has installed one.. all my cars get windshield tint and a dash cover, helps with summer heat so well.
