ABS use results loss of cigarette lighter power

Whenever ABS breaking activates the 12 volt outlet disconnects (phone stops charging).
As soon as the condition clears, the 12 volts comes back.

Just curious if this is by design or if it's just my car?

Can't answer your question. But knowing our brakes, it surely isn't the G-force causing this

I would start by checking the 12V battery.

Mine behaves the same way. It's probably a combination of a cold 12v battery with to low capacity in the first place. If you find a solution let me know, it's very irritating.
