Here's a thought... since a carbon tax is so politically toxic... perhaps insurance companies should act. Instead of spreading increased rates due to rising claims from climate disasters across all rate payers... force the people that bear the most blame to shoulder those costs. Drive an ICE... that's an extra $20/mo. No solar panels on your house? That's an extra $500/yr...
