AC Blanket to quiet AC?

So, while sitting in the car-rider pickup line for my daughter, my AC was really loud inside. Obviously, it was hot outside (92 F) and the car was doing it's best and I know that "it's normal".

I've briefly read that for Model 3s and Ys there is some "AC Blanket" that you can install over the compressor to help dull the noise. Is there something available like that for the Model S? Even if it can dull it a bit or help with vibration, it'd be well worth it.

IIRC, the compressor is on a dampened and spring-loaded board, so it's already absorbing a lot of vibration. The Model 3/Y compressor is designed to have a 'blanket' over it - the S is not, and may not be able to dissipate enough heat if it's wrapped in dense sound-deadening material.

I understand the desire, but I wouldn't necessarily advise this. Turn the radio up.

If the frunk is empty then try throwing a blanket in there.

The compressor is basically right in front of your feet.
