Hey guys

I just released the full interior wrap for the new Model S. So if you have the wood trim and want to change it, here is a cheaper alternative than replacing all the trims:

How does this look / feel over the "natural" gashes / texture of the wood? I figured that would be hard to wrap over.

The textured vinyls that I released so far completely hide those (carbon fiber white and black, matrix black and shadow black). But I tried with non textured ones (matte and glossy) and the wood grain shows. Will be doing some experiments later today to see if I can cheat it :) will try two layers of the same vinyl and if that doesn’t work I will try PPF layer and then vinyl layer on top. But even if that one works it will be pretty expensive (plus double the install time) because PPF is pretty expensive. Will report later :)
As for adhesion and installation difficulty - I found it rather easy to install with textured vinyl and it sticks great. You can also remove it without issues (I had mine for about 2 months and then removed it to make product photos and I had zero issues). The non-textured vinyls though were pretty hard to install without wrinkles. I suppose it’s possible if you know your way around handling vinyl and you do it with a lot of patience. With carbon fiber and such though it’s pretty easy imho.

Here is the wood grain showing under pink glossy 3M.

Appreciate the response. The keycard wraps were damn tricky around the E S and A of TESLA.
Haha I know… but installing a big piece is actually easier in a way because it’s easier to hold.
I am now starting to edit the install video for the entire interior wrap...will post here when done, should be in a few hours.

PS I just tried sticking 2 layers of 3M gloss pink on top of each other, to see if that eliminates the wood texture. It does not. Then I tried putting 2 layers of 8mil XPEL PPF first, and then the two 3M layers, thinking that must do it. It did not 🤷‍♂️

Special thanks to @Greeney for pointing out that the carbon fiber's pattern should follow a meaningful direction between all components so it has a natural flow of pattern (something you don't naturally get when you cut the pieces in the most optimal way to reduce material usage).
Also made alternative for the dash where it consists of 3 pieces instead of 2, will be shipping both for each order from here on.
That turned out a masterpiece! Here are some pictures, with a banana for scale!

I took delivery of my Model S Plaid last Friday. It was then in the detail shop for PPF and window tinting until mid-week. I am waiting for a sunny day (that I hope will be this weekend) to take some pictures and post in the forum. In the meantime, I found these shoulder pads on eBay and placed an order hoping they would be here by the end of the year (as they are shipped out of Russia). I placed the order on October 28. The shoulder pads shipped on November 2 and arrived on November 12. I am really pleased with the product. Here is how they look in the car:

I ordered these based on your post. Worst experience in a long time. First, seller says 10-14 days. After a month, seller is evasive and refuses to resent or refund. Goes radio silent. I would not recommend anyone here take a chance in this one. I would consider this a scam, more than anything else. Perhaps you got lucky. I did not.

I got lucky also...ordered and arrived within two weeks if I recall correctly.

Just got my phone mount for my S, works great so far.

Rotatable and it's suction cup for easy to take on and off if needed.

Bought it from 480° Rotation Car Mount for Tesla

Any have any luck with something to get the rear T badge to match the rest of the trim--wrap, replacement, etc?

This is for the new MS so it fits...not a full wrap as it leaves a tiny amount of chrome visible, but does a pretty good job:

Cool--which color I closets to the blacked-out trim?
