Look what I spied in DFW today.

I was going to wait for the Cybertruck, but saw on here some people were placing orders for Model Y Feb/March 2020 and already receiving delivery dates.

3/15/20 - Ordered - LR AWD - Blue & White - Gemini - AP
3/18 - "Drafting contract"
3/24 - Email from Tesla rep congratulating me on my Model Y order, but only inquired if I was interested in Tesla Solar. I inquired if there was a timeline on delivery for my Model Y, he replied with, " Most likely the end of the year."

Annoyed they pulled my credit score for financing knowing I won't be receiving a vehicle in the next 30 days. Anyone else stuck in "Drafting contract" and told they won't see their Model Y until the end of the year?

Try what I did: Go to the Model Y sales page on Tesla.com, use the chat function to give them your order #, tell them you don't have a delivery specialist, and politely ask if there is a delivery time you should expect after filling out your loan docs. Might get a more useful response than the solar person. Worth a shot, right?

Same thing happened to me. I don't know why on earth would they ask us to put in a request for loan approval when there is no car built yet. Credit score getting hit for nothing

Thank you for the suggestions. I was trying to get input from here first. I undersand Tesla employees are spread thin and probably fielding a ton or requests, which is why I had yet to reach out until I was contacted by a Tesla rep. I tried your suggestion and got the generic chat bot response,

"Congrats on your recent Model Y purchase! We appreciate your support and excitement! Deliveries are beginning in March and it depends on a variety of factors such as: order placed date, configuration, location, and delivery profile. Please stay tuned to your Tesla account as the latest information regarding your delivery can be found there. Also keep your eyes peeled for an email or SMS from Tesla to schedule delivery!"

I don't mind the waiting, just annoyed they pulled my credit.

I order a Black MY on first night but just other day changed the color of my car to Midnight Silver. Do you think this put we way back in the queue? I see people that have ordered this month have gotten their cars.
I was talking to a Rep in NV today (I'm in Ohio) and asked this. They said it depends on initial RSVP day. Other changes (unless you are getting 7 seats or something not being produced yet) will not affected. If you change things after you get a vin it will delay your order. Also when you complete all your paperwork will affect delivery time.

Has anyone else noticed their ‘delivery address’ changing? I only see it when I log into my account on my phone. This used to have my home address listed, now it’s a Tesla store in San Francisco? Is this just a web glitch?

Yes! This happened to me too. My situation is that I have a 7 seat reservation but everything has been complete from insurance upload (for current car) to trade acceptance and financing agreement. I did all this knowing that 7 seats b is not till 2021 (I completed my reservation in August 19). Trying not to get too excited but hey you never know with end of qtr.

Any idea how long does it take to go from Prepare for delivery + Insurance page to getting a VIN and Order Agreement ?
[LRAWD 19in White/White]

I don't think there is currently anything to go by -- it all depends on what the order is and if there are any cars available in your area (either that yours was shipped or someone else who was assigned that car doesn't take delivery).

I have a performance on order, but without the upgrade (so the same Gemini wheels) and I've been in the contracting phase waiting for a VIN since all of my information was submitted on 3/3.
