Accumulated "film" between the 3 fwd facing cameras and the windscreen?

I can't help but wonder if the film & dust that (commonly?) accumulates on the interior of the windscreen in front of the 3 front facing cameras might not contribute to problems - particularly when driving into the sun. Has anyone attempted to clean this? And if so, were you able to discern any difference in AP/FSD behavior? And BTW, how'd you get at this portion of the glass in the first place?

The tri-camera assembly is a removable module, but I wouldn't attempt it without having access to the repair manual. Even if you are able to safely remove the module, there might be some procedure that needs to be done (like putting the car in service mode) before removing the module.

The car should throw up a dialog box telling you that the windshield needs to be cleaned if the cameras are having a hard time "seeing" correctly. Until that happens, I wouldn't worry about it. :)
