Active Spoiler

I am looking at inventory Model Xs some say active spoiler some don't. What's the story here? I want the spoiler cause then it doesn't look like a minivan.

Early Xs all had active spoiler. Then, only P models (I dont know the time frame when the switch occurred, but it was early 2016)

Performance version gets Active spoiler
Non-performance gets fixed spoiler

Early non-performance models before April 2016 I believe also got Active spoiler

Fixed means it's up or down? Or fixed means it's always in the upright position?

Always upright, although the active spoiler might extend a tiny bit further still, not sure.

"Fixed" definitely means permanently in the upright position. When looking through rear-view mirror (from driver's seat), it will appear as a thin line and will only minimally obstruct the rear view.

It was more like late May/early June of 2016. I just missed getting one on my 90D and I took delivery at the end of June. Approximate production change was in the 5000 - 6000 range.

The active spoiler has 3 set positions. Down position when parked and vehicle is off. High visibility position (all the way up), spoiler is pretty much parallel to the ground allowing you to see below it. High mileage position, midway down allowing for better aerodynamics at highway speeds (I believe it moves to this position around 45-50mph).

The fixed spoiler is fixed in the high visibility position.

I have a fixed spoiler. Wished I had active when I first got our X, but since then, I'm just as happy with the "deployed" look when its parked.
